About The Knowledge Box server

What is a Knowledge Box server?

World Possible (worldpossible.org) is the creator of the RACHEL PI and curated much of the content used the Knowledge Box. The Knowledge Box is created by the Global Horizons (https://www.globalhz.org/) under the Field Technology project. It is built on updated Rasbian operating system, mysql and other technical internals and uses the basic layouts used by the RACHEL PI. The Knowledge Box also includes Open Education Resources from Kolibri (https://kolibridemo.learningequality.org) and Wikipidia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiwix). Biblical content includes custom sources known to the Knowledge Box as well as from the Gutenberg Project (https://www.gutenberg.org). This GHI Field Technology project is a non-profit effort that distributes Open Education Resources (OER) and other technology solutions to serve communities around the world where direct internet access is limited. Languages supported include English, Spanish and several others as OER providers allow.
You can read more about the RACHEL project in the World Possible web site.
